Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has joined the ongoing 1980s nostalgia trend, but instead of relying on artificial intelligence, the star recreated the retro era naturally while filming his upcoming drama Nashtar.
Danish shared a series of pictures from the drama’s set on Instagram, giving his followers a glimpse of the vintage-inspired wedding atmosphere featured in the production.
Explaining the idea behind his latest social media post, the actor said he had noticed people using AI to transform their pictures into 1980s-style visuals. He decided to experience the era in a more authentic way during a night of filming.
Danish revealed that the atmosphere on the Nashtar set immediately reminded him of an old-fashioned Pakistani wedding. The lighting, colours and wedding decorations combined to create what he described as an unmistakably retro setting.
Rather than turning to an AI filter, he decided to embrace the moment as it was and dress accordingly, creating his own real-life journey back to the 1980s.
The actor also used his post to remember legendary Pakistani singer Alamgir, saying that he had not seen enough references to the iconic musician while people were participating in the current 80s trend.
Danish pointed out that discussions about the 1980s and Pakistani music would be incomplete without mentioning Alamgir, whose music remains associated with the era for many fans.
His Instagram post also made it clear that the retro look was directly connected to Nashtar. Danish teased viewers by revealing that they will see more of the vintage aesthetic when upcoming episodes of the drama air.
The actor’s styling further strengthened the nostalgic theme. He opted for a sophisticated grey single-breasted blazer featuring classic notched lapels and a pocket square.
He paired the formal jacket with polished black leather Oxford shoes, maintaining a clean and elegant appearance that suited the wedding setting.
However, it was his grooming that gave the look its strongest 1980s touch. Danish replaced his familiar contemporary stubble with a prominent, neatly styled moustache and a clean-shaven jawline.
