Honey Singh Warns Music Label Over Alleged Harassment and Work Disruptions

Indian rapper and singer Honey Singh has spoken about difficulties with an unnamed music label, claiming that ongoing problems have disrupted his work and affected the amount of music he has been able to release.

During an Instagram Live session, the 43-year-old artist said a music label had caused him considerable trouble. While he did not identify the company, he suggested that the alleged interference had slowed down his musical output.

Honey Singh expressed his frustration while discussing the situation and indicated that he could have released significantly more music if he had not faced the alleged problems with music labels.

He said that the situation had disturbed him and implied that those responsible would eventually face the consequences of their actions. However, he did not provide specific details about the alleged harassment or explain what actions the unnamed label had allegedly taken.

The singer also claimed that problems involving music labels had affected his ability to consistently release new songs. According to his comments, he could have released several songs each month without the difficulties he says he has experienced.

Honey Singh’s remarks have attracted attention among fans because of his explanation for releasing music less frequently than some listeners may have expected. The artist has not publicly named the label involved, and the allegations have not been independently established.

Honey Singh Talks About Ramayana

During the same Instagram Live session, Honey Singh also discussed Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana.

The Brown Rang singer said he had watched the film’s teaser and praised Yash’s appearance and screen presence as Ravana. His comments reflected his interest in the highly anticipated adaptation of the Indian epic.

Honey Singh also spoke about his personal connection to the story, recalling that he watched Ramleela performances while growing up in Delhi’s Karampura area.

The singer said he hoped the film would remain faithful to the version of the story that he grew up with. He also expressed the view that the adaptation should avoid hurting people’s religious sentiments.

Ramayana Planned as Two-Part Film

Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra.

The project is planned as a two-part franchise, with the first installment scheduled to arrive on November 6, 2026, ahead of Diwali.

The second installment is expected to be released around Diwali in 2027. The two films will depict the well-known story of Lord Ram, Sita and their 14-year exile, including the events surrounding Ravana’s abduction of Sita.

The film has generated considerable interest because of its large-scale production, prominent cast and ambitious plans to bring the epic story to the big screen.

For Honey Singh, however, his latest comments also highlight the challenges he says he has faced behind the scenes in the music industry. While the rapper has not identified the label involved, his remarks have prompted renewed interest in the reasons behind the pace of his recent music releases.
