Momina Iqbal to Pursue Case Against Saqib Chadhar at Every Forum

The ongoing legal dispute between actress Momina Iqbal and PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar has taken a major turn at a Lahore court.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency submitted a fresh inquiry report stating that the arrest of the lawmaker and his wife Sameera is currently not required.

Following the submission, the suspects withdrew their pre-arrest interim bail applications, leading Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui to dispose of the pleas.

The investigative position shifted significantly from a previous hearing where an agency official reported that the accused was found guilty.

In response to the agency’s sudden change in stance, Momina Iqbal and her family expressed strong objections to the court’s latest proceedings.

Speaking to media representatives outside the courtroom, the actress alleged that the investigation was altered in collusion without her prior knowledge.

Momina announced her firm decision to challenge the latest investigative report directly before the Lahore High Court.

The actress emphasized that she is pursuing the harassment and intimidation matter to represent women facing similar abuse across Pakistan.

Momina confirmed that she refused all reconciliation offers and intends to share her detailed evidence against the lawmaker on social media platforms.

Her sister, Rimsha Iqbal, also publicly questioned the agency’s modified stance after previous officers recommended the suspect’s arrest.

Defence counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq stated that the accused withdrew their petitions because immediate arrest was ruled out, though they remain open to seeking court protection later if required.

While the agency retains the option for further re-investigation, Momina’s legal team is preparing to take the legal battle to higher judicial forums.
