Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is celebrating his 44th birthday on September 28, with family, friends, fans and the teams behind his upcoming films joining the celebrations.
Among the most personal birthday messages came from his mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, who shared a warm tribute to her son on social media.
Neetu posted a selfie with Ranbir on Instagram Stories and accompanied the photograph with an affectionate birthday message. Her post offered fans another glimpse into the close relationship between the mother and son.
Ranbir’s birthday also falls on the same day as his paternal aunt Rima Jain. Neetu marked the occasion by sharing a photograph with Rima and recalling their long-standing bond.
She also posted a family photograph featuring Rima Jain, Karisma Kapoor and other members of the Kapoor family as the birthday celebrations continued.
The actor received wishes from other members of his extended family as well. Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt’s mother, shared an old photograph of Ranbir and Alia while sending him birthday greetings.
Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also joined the celebrations with an old picture and a heartfelt message for her brother.
The actor’s professional teams also made sure the occasion was marked. Bhansali Productions shared a photograph featuring the team of Love & War following a dinner attended by Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The production house added a playful birthday message for Ranbir while also highlighting the scheduled release of Love & War.
The upcoming film has generated considerable interest because it brings Ranbir together with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal under Bhansali’s direction.
Ranbir is also preparing for another major project, Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part Ramayana, in which he portrays Lord Rama.
The ambitious adaptation features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled for international release on November 6, 2026, followed by its India release on November 8.
Meanwhile, Love & War is scheduled to reach cinemas on January 21, 2027, during the Republic Day weekend.
The film’s promotional material has already offered a glimpse of Ranbir’s character. A recently unveiled character poster shows him behind the wheel of a vintage blue convertible, with a bloodied arm resting outside the vehicle.
The image suggests that the film will explore a darker and more intense side of the actor’s character.
With two major productions lined up, Ranbir’s 44th birthday comes at a significant stage in his career. For now, however, the focus remains on the birthday celebrations and the messages coming from his family and professional colleagues.
