Former Shoaib Malik has firmly denied circulating social media rumours suggesting he has entered into a fourth marriage, warning that legal action will be taken against individuals and organisations spreading what he called “false and fabricated” claims.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday evening, Malik said that unverified stories about his personal life were being circulated without his consent. He added that his wife Sana Javed had also been targeted with negative remarks over matters in which she had no involvement.
Recent social media speculation linked Malik with an influencer, claiming that he had remarried. The former Pakistan cricket captain dismissed these reports and expressed concern about the potential impact on his family, especially his son Izhaan Malik.
Malik had married Sana Javed in early 2024 after his divorce from Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. He previously divorced his first wife, Ayesha Siddiqui, in 2010 after eight years of marriage.
In his statement, Malik emphasized that he had always sought to keep his private life out of the public domain to protect his family, but noted that his silence appeared to have been misunderstood or taken for granted. He urged the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation, stating that while public figures face scrutiny, personal privacy and reputations must be respected.
Malik further cautioned that continued circulation of baseless assumptions and jokes regarding his personal life would prompt strict legal action from his team against those responsible.
