Salman Khan Warns Paparazzi of Action Over Intrusive Celebrity Photos

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has renewed his criticism of intrusive paparazzi photography, warning that he is prepared to take action against photographers and platforms that continue publishing unwanted pictures of celebrities.

The actor raised the issue during a recent episode of Bigg Boss 20, following appreciation from Roadies Rising gang leader Neha Dhupia. She thanked Khan for using his public platform to highlight concerns surrounding inappropriate celebrity photographs.

Dhupia praised the actor for speaking openly about the issue, saying his remarks had helped draw attention to a problem faced by many people in the entertainment industry.

“I didn’t have a chance to say thank you before. You are such a great voice, sir; thank you for saying all those things,” she said, according to the supplied report.

Responding to her comments, Khan explained that consent should be the key consideration when photographers take pictures of public figures. He alleged that some celebrities, both men and women, invite paparazzi and pay for particular photographs, while others clearly object to similar treatment.

The actor argued that photographers should respect those differences instead of assuming every celebrity is comfortable with every type of picture.

Khan also issued a warning to photographers and digital platforms that continue sharing unwanted images after being asked to stop. He said he was prepared to take a strong stand against those who ignored such objections.

“I will take a big stand against it,” Khan said, expressing frustration that some major platforms appeared to be treating his earlier comments lightly.

The actor’s latest remarks have brought renewed attention to the relationship between celebrity privacy, media coverage and the growing influence of social media.

Khan had previously addressed the issue during a September episode of Bigg Boss. At the time, he criticised photographers for taking pictures of actresses from behind, particularly when the images could make the subjects uncomfortable.

He questioned why some photographers continued taking such photographs despite celebrities making their objections clear. He also encouraged them to consider whether they would accept similar treatment involving members of their own families.

His latest comments reinforce the argument that being a public figure does not automatically mean surrendering every personal boundary. While celebrities often rely on media coverage to promote their work, Khan believes that professional photography should still involve respect for individual consent.

The discussion also highlights the wider challenges faced by actors and other public figures in an era when photographs can spread rapidly across websites and social media platforms.

For celebrities, the issue is not necessarily about preventing photographers from doing their jobs. Instead, it concerns the methods used to capture images and whether the wishes of the people being photographed are taken seriously.

Khan’s willingness to take further action signals that he wants the industry to give greater attention to these concerns. However, any specific action against photographers or platforms will depend on the circumstances and the steps he ultimately decides to pursue.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. According to the supplied report, the film has received government clearance and is scheduled to reach cinemas on November 13, 2026.

As discussions about paparazzi practices continue, Khan’s comments have added another voice to the debate over responsible celebrity coverage. His message is that photographers should recognise personal boundaries and respect clear objections, even when their subjects are well-known public figures.
